16 years today!

the man and I started dating 16 years ago today.

We celebrated with dinner at a Japanese restaurant called Meii Sushi at Tanjong Pagar which was excellent and followed that with dessert at Antoinette along Penhas Street.

If you haven't been to Antoinette, it's definitely worth a visit. You feel like you are in Europe, because there are chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, plush sofa and very french furniture, and you get water in these lovely cut crystal glasses. We've made reservations for brunch in a week so we can take the girls here!

I was reminded today by our good friend, Simon, of some of the stuff that the man and I used to do when we first started dating. Back then, I was waiting to enter the university and he was about to go into the army for national service. I was working at a telemarketer at my mum's office and he would come meet me for lunch sometimes, and Simon showed us how to walk from the Concourse, where he was working, to the beach along the Kallang River where people dragonboat. I'd forgotten that till he reminded us! 16 years already!
