After breakfast today, we decided to head down to Chinatown to soak in some of the Chinese New Year spirit. We got there at 11-ish and managed to find parking at Chinatown Complex.
the kids loved looking at all the different shops that were selling all manners of things from Chinese New Year couplets, to decorations, and even these sky lanterns.
we bought more decorations for our home, including these plastic cherry blossoms.
we also got to try lots of CNY goodies like these mochi
but the girls favorite was definitely the melon seeds! I was also very pleased because I managed to find short stalks of pussywillows that will fit nicely into my small vase!
It was fun and festive, and not too crowded, a fun excursion for all of us!
