We chose to have Wen's birthday dinner with the family at a traditional hokkien restaurant at Amoy Street called Beng Hiang that's near the man's office so we could get En home in time for bed. Yes, lifestyle changes as a result of having a Pri 1 child.
We got there early so the kids got to play at Telok Ayer Green, where there are these lovely statues that tell a bit about the history of the area and Singapore.
We don't usually buy birthday gifts for the kids, but I remembered that Wen had been wanting a musical box like the ones her sisters both have, and I managed to get a nice one for her with a dancing ballerina and she was very pleased, both at receiving a surprise gift, as well as getting something she wanted.
It was nice to celebrate her birthday with the family.
including Wayne shu shu, who's usually not around in January.
